WESTCOTEC AND THE ENVIRONMENT
We work to protect the environment by providing energy efficient products and offsetting our carbon footprint through a tree planting programme. Our environmental policy ensures we operate within regulations and codes of practice, which sets a minimum standard for environmental practices. As a major producer of road signs, we benefit the environment by helping improve traffic management, reducing speed and raising levels of road safety.
However, we realise our operations and travel will impact the environment and we aim to offset this in a number of ways:
- Encouraging use of and development of energy efficient technology
- Improve recycling and reduce waste to landfill
- Invest in low-carbon emission vehicles in our fleet
- Ensure premises operates as energy efficient as possible
- Invest in low-energy IT equipment

Supported Charities
Westcotec has been a firm supporter of Nelson’s Journey, the Norfolk Charity supporting bereaved children, for the last 3 years. The idea of providing sponsorship came from one of Westcotec’s employees, Chris Spinks, a former Police Officer who had been aware of their fantastic work while he served as the Head of Norfolk and Suffolk’s Roads Policing Unit seeing firsthand the difference they made for children who had lost close relations through road death.
Westcotec sponsors the Drinks Reception at the Annual Ball, we also provide support for the Walk of Smiles and have signed up as one of the Twenty20 businesses to celebrate the 20th year of Nelson’s Journey service provision.
Westcotec will continue to support Nelson’s Journey for the foreseeable future.
